Babymoon

What a wonderful weekend we've had! For my Christmas present, Hunter surprised me with a "babymoon" weekend before our little man arrives. We originally planned to go out of town for the weekend, but once we realized how few open weekends we had left, we thought it might be a smart idea to stay close to home...just in case. So we compromised and had a babymoon staycation. Saturday morning, we kicked the day off with an old tradition of ours- Chick Fil A and Starbucks. When we were dating, that's how we always started off our weekends together, and its something that I've always loved doing with Hunter.

And as a side note, just when you think to yourself that there is nothing else Chick Fil A can do to impress you even more, they've done it again. There are a million things that I love about them- their faith-based company, their food (duh), their customer service, the great attitudes that their employees seem to always have, the fact that they will come around and ask to refill your cup, they personally come to your car to take your order when they are busy, and now they've added something else to the list- they took the time to walk customers from the restaurant to their cars with an umbrella while it was raining Saturday morning. Seriously? This is a fast food chain? They are awesome. Especially in the eyes of a nearly 9 month pregnant lady who would prefer to not walk in the rain to get back to the car. 

After our yummy (and unhealthy) breakfast, we did a little shopping together, and then came home a took a nap. Again, a pregnant lady's dream. Good food, a little shopping, and then nap time. 

From there, we headed to the spa for a couple's massage. Because of my "condition," we weren't able to be in the same room together since I obviously required a special table, but regardless, it was pretty awesome. I highly recommend a prenatal massage to all of my pregnant ladies out there! She worked on those specific areas that needed special attention, and even found some that I didn't realize even needed attention. It. was. divine.

After our afternoon at the spa, we headed to check in to The Tutwiler, the hotel where we spent our wedding night. We checked in, freshened up, and then headed to a nice dinner. It was so nice to be able to spend the entire day together, and it was so nice to be able to make those memories together before our world gets completely turned upside down in a few weeks!
