Oh, Sage

It's been a while since we highlighted our first born, Sage.

As you probably know, our weather down south suddenly turned quite chilly today. We're talking about high in the 80s yesterday, high in the mid 50s today and windy. Just a slight change. No big deal.

So, our dear Sage is an outside-only dog. People think we are crazy (and mean) when we say that, but let's be honest- she's a lab, with a hyperactivity problem. Not only would she be miserable locked up inside of our house all day, we would also have absolutely no furniture.

So, when the weather turns chilly, she has an igloo dog house that we keep stocked with old blankets and the occasional dog bed and cushions. For the longest time, I refused to let Hunter purchase any more dog beds, because she would literally destroy them within 10 minutes of us giving her a new one. Well, now that she is a big-girl 4 year old, she seems to have somewhat calmed down as far as destroying things were concerned. So, when we saw the outdoor furniture and cushions go on clearance at the end of the summer at our local Lowe's, we caved and bought her a new cushion to go in her dog house.

So, if you lived outside, with only a dog house, cushions, and fur to keep you warm, don't you think you would cherish those cushions? Not our Sagey.

Without further ado, allow me to show you what she did to entertain herself today.

Oh, Sage...some things will never change, will they, baby girl?
