Strong Enough

Last night Hunter and I ran our first 5K. I know it doesn't sound like much, but considering how much I despise running, this was kind of a big deal to me. We ran with the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta (my employer) team, and there were a total of 971 participants from our company alone. Isn't that insane?

It was the Kaiser Permanente Corporate Run/Walk, and its purpose is to promote wellness among metro-Atlanta companies. Considering my career is promoting health and wellness, I figured I couldn't really turn it down. Not to mention, Hunter and I just finished our sixth week of bootcamp, so we decided there was no better time to make our first attempt at a race. So, off we went!

Disclaimer: The following pictures were taken on my iPhone, and they are horrible, I realize this.

Chik-fil-A. Yummy. What we wanted to be eating. But we didn't. But don't you think this is kind of an oxymoron for a race that is promoting health and fitness??
