A-Day and a Play Day

Saturday we headed to our old stompin' grounds of T-town to watch the A-Day game. It was also the day of the big reveal of the Saban statue.
Now, we are as big of Alabama fans as anybody- we love Tuscaloosa, we LOVE our Crimson Tide, and we LOVE Nick Saban. However, if we are going to be totally honest here, we were not that crazy about the statue. Hunter's observation was that it looked like the Burger King man. Someone else described it as a mixture of the Geico Cavemen and Charlie Sheen. I don't know if I would go that far, but there is something about it that is just...odd. It is very large and in charge at 9 feet, and if you know anything about Saban, you know that he is anything BUT large-and-in-charge. Saban is now probably going to send a linebacker to eat me now, so I'll continue with how wonderful our fun day in Tuscaloosa was, watching our Tide play and soaking up everything Bama football.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people come to our spring scrimmage game...crazy!

And just for fun, we had to walk by my old residence. Goodness, this place brings back some memories!

On Sunday, we spent the afternoon doing what we love the most- taking Sage to the park and letting her run and swim and get all the crazy out. Honestly, she would be perfectly content (and just as excited!) if we just let her sit in the jeep all afternoon- in the driveway. We have really let her "load up" (as Hunter says) to just see how long she'll sit in the jeep without getting out, and she loves it. She just makes herself at home and won't get out until Hunter makes her.

What a perfect way to end such a wonderful weekend together. I am so thankful for these lazy weekends where we get to do nothing but spend time with each other!
