What's up, people? It's been a while, I know. I do apologize. We've been super busy, and I've enjoyed being around our families so much that I've taken over a thousand pictures over the past few weeks, most of which are still waiting to be edited. Thus, the hold-up on blogging.
A few weeks ago we headed east to Tallapoosa, Georgia to celebrate the dedication of the newest addition to the Shepherd extended family- baby Shepherd Patton Thompson. We just
love, love, love his name (for obvious reasons), and we were so happy to be there to celebrate this joyous occasion.
Baby Shep belongs to Hunter's cousin Nathan and his wife Courtney. And it just occured to me during this weekend that baby Shep is definitely outnumbered by his girl cousins- he's the only boy, and there are four precious girls.
The sweet little girls didn't waste any time fulfilling their roles as chefs and care providers to the baby dolls.
Caroline loves baby dolls these days, and will just love and hug on them all day long. She also loves to feed the babies and wipe their faces. :)
This is sweet little Ella Reid. She's so cute!
This is the next-to-youngest baby in the family right now- Molly Lynn. Her big sister is Mary Kathryn.
And as with all family gatherings, we had some great food. Caroline agreed.
While the women in the family rushed around trying to get lunch ready
and refused to have their picture taken, the men had the opportunity to catch up on some serious topics of conversation.
Some conversation were clearly more serious than others.
I attempted to get some pictures of Caroline and Mary Kathryn, but Caroline clearly had more important things to tend to.
And then I tried to get a few pictures of Holly and Caroline, and she decided that it was more fun to stick her tongue out.
We are so thankful for these times with our family, and so glad that we were able to be there for Shep's special day!
