2010- A Recap

January- What a month this was for us! As the 2009 football season drew to a close, we started to feel the anticipation of the possibility of Alabama's football team heading towards a national championship game. We were fortunate enough to be able to visit Pasadena, California and cheer on the Tide to their 13th National Championship. What a wonderful trip full of fun memories, and what better way to kick off the New Year as newly weds! We flew into San Diego, rented a red Camero, and drove up the coast to Los Angeles. Although that's not a very long drive, it is a very scenic drive, and we saw lots of familiar sites- Stoneybrook High School (Baby Sitter's Club, anyone??), and Laguna Beach were my favorites. We also stopped and enjoyed a lunch overlooking a bay in Laguna Beach that we later saw on "The Hills." But the main event was obviously a chance to go to the Rose Bowl and witness the legendary Alabama football program make history once again. It. Was. Awesome. Definitely one of my favorite memories with my husband.

We also had a little bit of silly "touristy" fun at the wax museum.

And then before heading back to San Diego at the end of our trip we made another stop at Venice Beach.

Does anybody recognize this guy from The Hills? I think his name is Charlie maybe? He is one of Spensor Pratt's friends. Is it sad that we would recognize him?

Later that month we were blessed with the birth of another healthy baby into our family- sweet little Tucker Andrew.

February- We celebrated our first Valentine's Day as a married couple, and it was perfectly romantic with a fresh layer of beautiful snow on the ground.

I also got to spend some time with two of my best friends in Birmingham, and love on little Madilyn.

March- We welcomed the third baby into our family in a matter of three months, with the arrival of Jonathan Tomato'a. He made his appearance about a month before his daddy had to leave for Afghanistan for a year.

We also enjoyed our first Nascar experience. Wow. Incredible opportunity for people watching!

Later that month we celebrated the Christian dedication of Tucker in Kentucky.

April- We had two more dedications this month- one for Caroline and one for Jonathan. Both were very special, and I'm so thankful that Hunter and I were able to be there to share these special moments with our families.

Later that month we had more of a sad memory when we had to bid farewell to my brother when he left for Afghanistan. He did get to come home for two weeks in November, and will be back for good in April of 2011 which we are very excited about!

May- We had a short trip to Richmond, Virginia, where we stayed at the historic Jefferson Hotel.

And then we hosted a super fun party for Tara and Sam.

June- We celebrated my 27th Birthday in MIAMI! I was so excited, and that was probably one of the most relaxing birthdays I've ever had. It was perfect.

And then we had a fun girls weekend in Nashville for Tara (or Sam, rather).
July- We played hosts to my mom, sister-in-law, and the three little munchkins for the 4th of July.
And we finally celebrated the nuptials of Tara and Sam at a beautiful wedding in Florence, Alabama.
August- We celebrated one year of wedded bliss with a wonderful week-long trip to the beach. We were in heaven!

We also celebrated another milestone- my sweet Grandaddy's 90th Birthday.

September- Football season finally arrived, and we found ourselves back in our comfort zone- cheering on the Tide in Tuscaloosa.
We ran in our first 5K race.

We also celebrated the 29th birthday of my hubby.

October- We enjoy a little more football, and kicked off the parties for Marissa's wedding with a fun night in Nashville.
November- The parties continued for the future couple.
We also finished our first 10K this month on a very, very cold morning.

After a wonderful Thanksgiving with my family in Kentucky, we witnessed the vows between Marissa and Mark. I took hundreds of pictures over that weekend, and blogged about it here, here, and here.

December- What a whirl wind! It seems like Christmas always takes forever to get here, and then it's gone again. This year we were able to spend lots of time with friends and family, and loved every moment of it.

We kicked off Melissa's engagement with a beautiful Christmas shower.

And we watched Hunter's niece turn one.
And then we had our first-ever Alabama white Christmas and drove all over the country to spend time with our wonderful familes.

What a wonderful year with lots of great memories! Here's to 2011!
