He told me before we left that the hotel we were staying at was a historic hotel, so I assumed that it would be pretty sweet, but I was wrong...try AH-MAZ-ING.
A little history, this beautiful hotel was opened in 1895, which makes it approximately 115 years old, which seemed pretty awesome to us. Of course it went through several openings and closings throughout the century, but is now alive and flourishing. The hotel prides itself not only in the beauty of its building and detailing, but also that 12 presidents have taken advantage of the historic accomodations, as well as hundreds of other celebrities, from Ray Charles to Elvis to Frank Sinatra. And, obviously, the hotel was named for this guy:
