Mr. Will was given this fun helicopter, and I think this is the night we realized he had a ball obsession.
We had a delicious dinner, followed by a visit from a very special man all the way from the North Pole!
Caroline was the most excited of anyone to see her friend, Ho Ho, as she calls him.
Will, on the other hand, was a little more cautious this time around. He wasn't sure what to think.
Sweet Lily was already asleep by the time Saint Nick made his stop, but she couldn't miss seeing him! She was woken up to get her picture made too, and bless her heart, I don't think she even realized what was going on or why she was suddenly getting her picture made.
Everyone had an opportunity to tell Santa what was on their list this year!
Santa had to get back to his duties, as he had a really important night ahead of him.
On Christmas Eve, we attended church as a family, and then went to Grandmom and Grandbob's house for another wonderful dinner and gifts.
By this time, Mr. Will had figured out this whole gift unwrapping thing, and started to help himself.
Finally, it was Christmas morning! We spent the night with Hunter's parents, and had a low-key morning until the rest of the family arrived that evening.
Thank goodness Santa remembered to come back to the Shepherd's and dropped off our stockings that were full of fun surprises!
When Hunter and his brother and sister were little, their parents would send them on a scavenger hunt to find their gifts. They did this for Caroline this year, and I thought it was such a fun and cute idea! She was sent up and down the stairs, and all around the house, to finally a special hiding place where all of her wonderful gifts were located.
I love this look of pure determination on her face, trying to figure out where the next clue might be.
Here they are! She finally found them!
Mr. Will had a pile of loot as well!
